The best pizza I have had in a very long time! My husband had the Chef's Special and I had the Garden Fresh, and they were amazing!! So flavorful and the crust was spot on! Too bad we live out of town, cause we would come here all the time!
Cute local restaurant in morehead. Right downtown across the street from a local brewery and up from a local coffee shop. I drive from Lexington just to get my calzone fix! They are phenomenal! Y'all check them, sawstone brewing, and the fuzzy duck cafe out! love me some small local spots!
This is located super close to the Morehead campus. The dining area is nothing fancy at all. You order at the counter and they bring it to the table. We came in on a weeknight around 7pm, place was pretty busy. As we watched other tables get their food, I was shocked by the portion and how yummy they all looked. They have ale 8 on fountain and a couple options of bar on tap. Best part they left the counter to go to the freezer to grab a chilled beer mug! Yum! We ordered a 12" pizza,spaghetti and meatball baked with cheese, an Italian hot ham and cheese sandwich. Order this sandwich the way it comes, it's perfect! We did wait quite some Time for our food, but we did have a somewhat of a large order and they were pretty busy too! I really only saw two people working counter and a cook. This is noted to be JR best pizza in town. I didn't try it but my family raved about it!
I was in Morehead to visit my daughter who attends college there. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. If you're in Morehead I say go - the pizza was out of this world!
